2O2 <br /> <br /> SECTION 82 - CELLAR DPJ~INS: Cellar drains shall not <br /> <br />be connected with any soil or waste pipes except by special <br />permission of the Plumbing Inspector. <br /> <br />SECTION 83 - ROOF OR SURFACE WATER: Roof or surface <br />water shs]l not be permitted to enter the city sewer. / <br /> SECTION 84 - UNION COUPLINGS: No union couplings shall <br /> <br />be allowed on the sewer side of any trap and no union couplings <br />of any description shall be used in or in <br />work. <br /> <br /> SECTION 85 - RUBBER CONNECTIONS: <br /> <br />all description are prohibited in connection with plumbing work. <br /> <br /> SECTION 86 - ROUGH TEST: Before the fixtures are placed <br />in conuectlon with the plumbing of any house or building, or any <br />portion of the drainage system is covered or concealed from view, <br />the outlet of the soil pipe and all openings into it below the <br />top shall be hermetically sealed. The pipe shall then be filled <br />to the highest point in the system. Defective pipes and fittings <br />of their different kinds must be removed and replaced by sound <br />material. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8V -QUALITY OF MATERIALS USED: All the ma- <br />teri,ls used in the installation of sny plumbing or drainage <br />system or part thereof, shall be of a good quality ~nd free from <br /> <br /> defects, and ~ll 1,bor on such inst~]lation shall be performed <br /> <br />in a thorough and workmanlike manner. <br /> <br /> SECTION 88 - VERBAL OR WRITTEN NOTICE: Any soil pipe, <br />dralu pipe, tr~p, water closet, urinal, or other pipes or fix- <br />tures set up, or fitting or fittings laid used or constructed <br />otherwise than in accordance with these regulations, or which <br />shall, lu the opinion of the Plum~ing Inspector, be or become <br />of bad and defective quality, stm ll, upon notice either verbal <br /> <br />or in writing from said Inspector, be <br />the manner determined, and within the <br />ting officer. <br /> <br />connection with concealed <br /> <br /> Rubber connections of ~ <br /> <br />a pipe, <br />broken, <br /> <br />removed or repaired, in <br />time fixed by .the Inspec- <br /> <br /> SECTION 89 - BROKEN OR DEFECTIVE PLDI{BING: Whenever <br />Joint, plumbing fixture or appurtenance is found to be <br />defective or inoperative, its repairs or replacement may. <br /> <br />be ordered by the Plumbing Inspector. <br /> <br /> SECTION 90 - WRITTEN ORDERS: The Plumbin~ Inspector <br />sh~ll make his orders hereunder in writing and sh~ll therein spe~- <br />fy ~ reasonable time in which the work therein directed shall be <br />done. Such orders sh,~l be served by delivering a copy thereof <br />to the owner or person in control 'of the premises whereon such <br />work is ordered.
