• Numerous remote connections (direct and dial -up) from multiple <br />locations throughout the City using leased lines ranging in bandwidth <br />from T-1 to 56 Kbp <br />The City has adopted the EIA/TIA CAT5 standards for all materials, installation, <br />testing, configuration and documentation. <br />The City's telecommunications environment includes: <br />Eight NEC NECX2400 switches, one NEC ICS2400 switch, one <br />NEC 1400 switch, one NEC Markll hybrid key system, two NEC <br />Electra Professional hybrid key systems, four NEC 16/48 key systems, <br />sixteen TIE Paragon 616 key systems, and more than 2,200 installed <br />telephone instruments <br />The City has a Centigram Voicememo Voice processing system <br />+ The City performs related telephone and data device installations, <br />moves, changes and repairs <br />1.4 Objective <br />The City of Santa Asia is seeking qualified vendors to provide the City with cabling <br />services on an as needed basis for a one year period, with possible extensions of <br />two (2) additional one-year periods. The intent is to develop a list of no more that <br />five pre -qualified vendors that will be able to meet the City's needs in this area. <br />Pre -selected vendors will be utilized during the contract period based on price of <br />service and materials. <br />2.0 Scope of Work <br />A. The scope of work over the next eighteen months will include: <br />(1) cabling ten fire stations <br />(2) cabling eleven recreation centers <br />(3) remodeling two areas of City Hall <br />(4) developing a fiber -based riser in the nine -story City Hall <br />(5) upgrade wiring in several floors of City Hall <br />(6) respond to requests for individual moves, adds and changes <br />2 <br />
