Aftk <br />TAIT & Associates, Inc. <br />%9 On -Call Water Resources Engineering Services <br />Chino Alley Sanitation/Rehabilitation Projects; SN-161 & SN- <br />191 <br />City of Chino, CA <br />TAIT provided full reconstruction design and surveying services to the City <br />of Chino for nine (9) separate alley segments comprising of approximately <br />8,500 lineal feet of existing alleyways, protection of existing above ground <br />utility appurtenances, PCC alley approaches, PCC ADA curb ramps, PCC <br />ADA sidewalks, proposed bulb -outs, damaged water meter box <br />replacements, and approximately 2,650 LF of a new 8" PVC waterline <br />replacing a similar length of 50+ year old 6" ACP line within one alley. The <br />City required that all points of connection to the existing systems running <br />along crossing alleys be upgraded to include the newer and larger PVC <br />water pipe and the installation of new water values in each cross alley. <br />Many of the segments between cross alleys required obtaining approvals <br />from the State Division of Drinking Water due to restricted vertical <br />clearances between existing utilities installed in the narrow alley. The <br />contractor is currently finalizing final punch list on this successful project <br />this month, April 2022. <br />Quadrant III Water Main Replacements <br />City of Chino, CA <br />TAIT has provide design services to the City of Chino for approximately <br />7000 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC water line replacing a similar length of <br />50-year old 6-inch ACP lines within 13 residential street. Over 170 <br />customers will be affected during construction. The City required that all <br />points of connection to be upgraded to include the newer and larger PVC <br />water pipe and the installation of new water values in each cross street. <br />Eight of the thirteen segments require obtaining approvals from the State <br />Division of Drinking Water due to restricted horizontal clearances in the <br />narrow residential streets. To assist the City in meeting an early delivery <br />schedule for one of their current water projects Quadrant III water plans <br />were separated into two separate bid contracts. The first segment of 2800 <br />LF was recently awarded at a low bid price of $990,000 and construction <br />commenced in April 2018 and completed in 6 months.
