In Pull Boxes: <br />Labels shall be produced using tape designed for outdoor use. <br />b. In Traffic Signal Cabinet: <br />All conductors and cables in the cabinet shall be labeled, including individual <br />traffic signal conductors from CSC. <br />4.29 PHOTOELECTRIC CONTROLS <br />The Contractor shall furnish and install Twist -Lock Electronic photoelectric controls in <br />service pedestal except where shown otherwise on the plan or as directed by the Traffic <br />Engineer. Photoelectric controls shall be Ripley Lighting Controls LongLife II <br />Photocontrol or approved equal. <br />4.30 OVERHEAD REFLECTIVE STREET NAME SIGNS <br />All sign layouts shall be the contractor's responsibility and shall be in accordance to the <br />City layout guideline. All signs shall be made in accordance with drawings furnished by <br />the City and these Special Provisions. All sign layouts must be approved by the City prior <br />to final production. <br />A. GENERAL <br />All items shall be new. The materials and workmanship shall be the best quality for <br />the purpose. <br />The contractor shall replace any sign delivered under this contract which does not <br />conform to these specifications at no cost to the City. <br />B. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS <br />1. Base Metal: <br />The base metal substrate shall be new sheet aluminum alloy 3003-1-114 or 5052- <br />H32. <br />The thickness of the aluminum shall be 0.05" (1 mm). The material shall be subject <br />to inspection prior to degreasing and chromate conversion coating operations. <br />Alloy and temper designations shall be verified in mill test certifications. <br />All sign panel edges shall be shear -trimmed or roll -slit to produce neat edges and <br />square corners. Sign panel edges shall be straight within 1/32" (1 mm) form the <br />straight plane. Edge delaminating or incomplete coverage of the base metal <br />72 <br />
