Dwellings,Inc. <br /> <br />Street and convert existing duplex into a triplex, in the R-2 District <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by J~rome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance of <br />Lenney Homes, Inc., granted, to permit erection of a l0t x 20~ sign in <br />connection with a proposed subdivision at a location north of Fruit <br />Street and west of Mabury, and include three small directional signs. <br />Communication of the Planning Commission was read submitting Reso!Utio~ <br />No. 851 recommending the reclassification of property located on the <br />east side of Standard Avenue, beginning at a point 322' south of St. <br />Gertrude Place, with a frontao~e of 410.83' on Standard Avenue, and a <br />depth of 125t, as requested by Industrial Facilities Corporation, from <br />the R-1 District to the M-1 District. On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, a notice was ordered published setting <br />the date of public hearing as September 19th, 1955. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that <br />one-half of the filing fee paid on Variance Application No. 671 filed <br />by Candelaria Villarreal be returned for the reason that the applicant <br />withdrew his request. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br />Markel and carried, the matter was referred to the Manager for recom- <br />mendation. On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Council- <br />man Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the requ'est of the Planning <br />Commission was denied. <br /> <br />This being the continued hearing on the amendment application of Rand <br />Investment Company, Richard Rand requested the Council to approve the <br />commercial zone as shown on his amendment application and hold in <br />abeyance the industrial area until such time as he files the final map il <br />of Tract No. 2592. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome Ii <br />and carried, the Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance in re-il <br />gard to the rezoning from R-1 to C-2 District of that certain area <br />referred to as Tract No. 2595 on which Mr. Rand will provide the <br />de script i on. <br /> <br />Communication was read.from the Planning Department reference Tract No. <br />2594 which is being developed by the Rand Investment Company and <br />suggesting that better planning will result by having a turn-around on <br />Cienega Drive and closing the street from Magnolia Avenue to Baker <br />Street. Heinly <br /> <br />seconded by Heinly and carried, Map of <br /> <br />Tract No. 1371, submitted by Orange County Dwellings, Inc., and bond in <br />the sum of $30,000.00 were approved for the dedication of Pine Street, <br />Chestnut Avenue, Spruce SSreet, Lot "~%" and portions of Myrtle Street <br />and Pacific Avenue; Lot "B" is dedicated for public use as a walkway an, <br />to dedicate all vehicular access rights to Lot "A" to the City, and the <br />agreement covering improvements was ordered signed. <br /> <br /> <br />
