239 <br /> <br />NEW MISCELLANEOUS FEES <br /> <br />FiReen new miscellaneous fees are proposed for FY 00-01~--nine from the Fire Department, five from the <br />Planning & Building Agency, and one from Police. All of the Fire Department fee proposals relate to the <br />Fire Code permit. <br /> <br />1) Fire Code Permit Fee- Indoor Assembly A-1 & A-2 <br /> <br />Proposed Fee(s): $200.00 <br />Department: Fire Department <br /> <br />Fire Code permit fees for indoor assembly areas (e.g., auditorium) will be based on the size of the assembly <br />and the use of a stage. A-1 assembly areas have a capacity of 1,000 or more persons and A-2 assemblies <br />between 300 and 999 persons, in both instances with a stage (as defined by the Building Code). <br /> <br />2) Fire Code Permit Fee - Indoor Assembly A-2.1 <br /> <br />Proposed Fee(s): $200.00 <br />Department: Fire Department <br /> <br />A-2.1 refers to assembly areas with a capacity of 300 or more persons, with no stage. <br /> <br />3) Fire Code Permit Fee - Indoor Assembly A-3 <br /> <br />ProposedFee(s): $100.00 <br />Department: Fire Department <br /> <br />A-3 refers to small assembly areas (e.g., bars and restaurants) with a capacity between 50 and 299 persons, <br />with or without a stage. <br /> <br />4) Fire Code Permit Fee- Above Ground Tanks <br /> <br />Proposed Fee(s): $150.00 <br />Department: Fire Department <br /> <br />Above ground tanks typically contain substances such as liquid fuel, gas, wastes, or raw materials used in a <br />manufacturing process. The City inspects these tanks sinCe they involve safety and other standards subject to <br />the Fire Code. The proposed fee pays for the Fire Department annual inspection and the other costs of <br />processing the Fire Code permit application. <br /> <br />5) Fire Code Permit Fee- Spraying, or Diooino Operations <br /> <br />Proposed Fee(s): $150.00 <br />Department: Fire Department <br /> <br />Spraying and dipping operations (e.g., car painting shops) involve flammable liquids and other hazardous <br />materials subject to the Fire Code.
