GOLDEN CIRCLE DRIVE' v.c~ ~ A written recommendation dated <br /> April 16, 1969, from the Director <br /> · of Public Works, to designate <br />Golden Circle Drive, circular portion, north of Fourth Street,' counter~- <br />clockwise, as a one-way street and to prohibit parking on both sides ,of ~ <br />the circular portion of Golden Circle Drive onthe north side of Fourth' <br />Street, was unanimously approved on Councilman Markel's motion, <br />seconded by Councilman Patterson, and the City Attorney was instructed <br />to prepare the appropriate ordinance and resolution. <br /> <br />ANGLE PARKING Gu ~-t The Council considered a written <br /> recommendation dated April 16, 1969, <br /> from the Director of Public Works,' to <br />delete .the following areas from Municipal Code Section 3264, Angle Parking: <br /> <br />1. The north side of Washington Avenue between Main Street and <br /> Sycamore' Street. <br />2. The south side of Eighth Street between Ross Street and Riverine <br /> Avenue. <br />.3. The north side of Sixth Street between Ross Street and Riverine <br /> Avenue. <br />4. The east side of Poinsettia Street from Santiago Street south to <br /> dead end, the south 92 feet. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Villa, and <br />unanimously carried, the recommendation of the Director of Public Works <br />was approved and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />RES. 69-63 c%57 RESOLUTION 69-63 PRE-EMPTION <br />PRE-EMPTION OF LOCAL CITY CONTROL was <br /> adopted on Councilman Thurman's <br />motion; seconded by Councilman Herrin, and unanimously carried, <br />after having been read in full bythe City Clerk. <br /> <br />RES. 69-62 %~ ~ RESOLUTION 69-62 EMPLOYING <br />WATER METERS RUTAN AND TUCKER AS .COUNSEL <br /> FOR CITY IN THE PROSECUTION <br />OF LAWSUIT RE: POSSIBLE WATER METER ANTI-TRUST VIOLATIONS <br />was deferred to the meeting of May 5th pending a report from the City <br />Attorney relative to the pro-rata cost to the City, on motion of Councilman <br />Thurman, seconded by Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />SPECIAL DISTRICTS STUDY On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br /> ' seconded by CounCilman Thurman <br /> and unanimously carried, it was <br />recommended that the Special Districts Study proposed by the Orange <br />CoUnty Division of the Lea&me of California Cities be approved and that <br />the three questions submitted by the League relative to conducting the <br />proposed study, dated April 1, 1969, be answered affirmatively. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />191 <br /> <br />April 21, :1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
