<br />, . <br /> <br />2.2 <br /> <br />2.3 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />2.1.2 Service personnel shall be National Institute for Certification in <br />Engineering Technologies (NICET) certified in the field of Fire <br />Protection Engineering Technology, (Level 2, minimum) <br /> <br />2.1.3 Service personnel shall have two (2) or more year's experience <br />performing service work on Fire Alarm Systems. <br /> <br />Service personnel shall be knowledgeable of current National Fire <br />Protection Association (NFPA) codes and how they affect fire alarm <br />systems. <br /> <br />Service personnel shall be capable of demonstrating, upon request, the <br />proper trouble shooting techniques, service procedures and testing <br />procedures for the Fire Alarm Systems. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Testing/Inspection Personnel <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />The Company shall employ testing/inspection personnel (identified in the <br />following as inspection personnel) as full-time fire alarm inspectors. <br /> <br />The Lead Inspector shall be factory trained and certified to perform all <br />NFPA required testing procedures. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Design Engineering Personnel <br /> <br />4.1 <br /> <br />Engineering personnel shall be factory trained and certified. <br /> <br />4.2 <br /> <br />Engineering personnel shall be NICET certified, <br /> <br />PART 2 - SERVICES <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Test and Inspections <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />Annual test and inspections of the fire alarm systems shall include, but not <br />be limited to, the following: <br /> <br />. Sensitivity testing of smoke detectors as follows: <br /> <br />0 Smoke detectors shall be internally cleaned by using a vacuum <br />device and the exterior cleaned with approved solution. <br />0 Smoke detectors shall be checked for proper sensitivity with <br />manufacturer's calibrated Sensitivity Test Instrument. <br />0 Smoke detectors that do not pass the first sensitivity test, shall be <br />dismantled, cleaned intemally with approved solution and retested. <br />0 Smoke detector sensitivity testing and cleaning shall be performed <br />in such a manner that all smoke detectors will be tested for proper <br />sensitivity, upon completion of the second year.
