Projecting signs. <br />4. Marquee signs (Theater Only). <br />5. Under canopy/window/hanging signs. <br />6. Major building identification. <br /> <br />D. General Criteria. <br /> <br />The following design guidelines generally address the design criteria for <br />the sign program. <br /> <br />1. Color and typography of signs will be evaluated on the basis of <br />aesthetics and legibility rather than conformance to strict criteria. <br /> <br />2. Intermittent lights, bare bulbs, neon, illusions of motion, or other <br />mechanical movement are acceptable only within the interior of <br />the project. Such signage could be used with respect to the theatre, <br />health club, or restaurants. Such signs shall not be visible from the <br />perimeter public right-of-way or the residential development in the <br />proj ect. <br /> <br />3. Well designed pageantry systems consisting of flags and banners, <br />festoons, flag canopies and related displays will be permitted on <br />the interior of the Main Street Concourse City Place project, <br />provided they are consistent with the overall design of the signage <br />plan, and do not create a safety hazard and do not adversely affect <br />adjacent land uses. <br /> <br />45 <br />75A-206 <br />
