Adjust technical plans as the study proceeds to respond to the most important <br />community priorities as feasible within the overall Centerline program. <br /> <br />Each of these phases and activities are summarized. <br /> <br />1.2 Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />1. aCTA adopts and implements a local government and public involvement plan <br />that meets CEQA and NEPA public participation requirements and results. <br /> <br />2. aCTA and the affected cities collaboratively agree on this local government and <br />public involvement plan. <br /> <br />3. The plan must achieve politiCal and community consensus on a project to submit <br />to the Federal Transit Administration for a Full Funding Grant Agreement and to <br />move into final design and construction. The public participation program demonstrates that the Centerline project should <br />be a serious priority for the FTA. <br /> <br />1.3 Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />aCTA will allocate four fulltime staff to The Centerline public invo!vement efforts. in <br />addition to its regular public affairs staffing which will be allocated to the project as <br />needed, and will retain consultant assistance as required (Figure 9.1). A total amount of <br />S1.35 million in consultant and professional services will be allocated with S250,OOO of <br />that amount made available to the three cities to augment their resources in public <br />involvement. ' <br /> <br />1.4 Leadership Roles and Responsibilities <br /> <br />The aCTA Board members will: <br />. Support the public involvement plan and cooperative planning with the affected <br />cities: ' <br />. Participate/host tours and briefings with key stakeholders: <br />. Become involved/knowledgeable with The Centerline Project; <br />. Serve as liãison to designated cities or audiences; and <br />. Participate in ongoing efforts to ensure informed consent of cities outside the service <br />area for Centerline implementation. . <br /> <br />Centerline city officials and staff wili: <br />.
