<br />Attachment B - E <br /> <br />The Centerline Project Action Plan <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Action Plan <br /> <br />2.1 Phase 1: Project planning (through March 15, 2002) tasks will include: <br /> <br />0 PE Communications: Generate and begin distribution of public education materials <br />that characterize and describe the new phase of the Centerline. (Note: These <br />materials will distinguish between the prior planning phases during which many <br />alternative routes were under review and this next phase in which a single route is <br />the focus. The material will focus on how to best refine this to ensure community <br />integration and ridership. Emphasis describing the upcoming public involvement <br />process and encouraging stakeholders and affected public audiences to partidpate). <br />0 Coordinate public involvement plan with technical schedule and milestones. <br />0 Consult with City Representatives to refine and finalizepublic involvement plan. <br />0 Amend MOUs to define the city's public involvement responsibilities. <br />0 Define roles and responsibilities for OCTA Directors and aCTA's Centerline <br />management team. <br />0 Establish communications protocols to ensure appropriate sharing of information <br />about public views. <br />. aCTA to adopt comprehensive public involvement action plan delineating roles, <br />responsibilities and activities and amend MOUs with C!;!nterLine cities to reflect it. <br />0 Prepare consultant RFPs. <br />. Staff recruitment. <br />0 Ongoing local government involvement: Communicate with non-Centerline cities <br />and leaders (individual briefings, email ne!\','ork communications, fact sheets, council <br />presentations etc.) to brief them on upcoming PE process, gain their input on how <br />they would like to be kept informed and inform them of other transportation <br />investments being made in their local communities (Detailed plan currently under <br />development) <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />2.2 Phase 2: Assemble resource? (thro,ugh April 1,5. 2002} tasks will include: <br /> <br />0 PE Communications: Disseminate project update materials (Note: Website, fact <br />sheets, key presentations about the PE process) <br />0 Consult with city leaders to identify their major issues and the questions they would <br />like answered. <br />. Plan field and other system tours. <br />. Produce a Collaborative Target Audience Inventory in which aCTA Board members, <br />City Managers and City Council members identify community leaders and key <br />stakeholders in each Centerline City. <br />. Finalize staff recruitment/staff orientation. <br />. Retain consultants. <br />. Ongoing Local Government Involvement: <br />communicate with non-Centerline cities. <br />.
