<br />A. <br /> <br />Completion of five (5) years <br />experience and be eligible for <br />salary rate range of the Police <br /> <br />of municipal police <br />"E" step of the base <br />Sergeant class. <br /> <br />"Eligible" as defined only for Section 6.6 (A) means <br />that a Police Sergeant shall be considered for <br />advancement from Step "D" or "E" to Senior Police <br />Sergeant I upon the completion of the required length <br />of service as provided in Section 4.2 and Exhibit A of <br />this Agreement; the effective date of such increase <br />shall be on the first day of the month following <br />completion of such required length of service. <br /> <br />B. Completion (acquisition) of at least sixty (60) <br />educational and/or training units. <br /> <br />C. Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />6.7 Senior Police Sergeant II. Any officer holding the rank of <br />Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department, <br />regardless of duty assignment, who fulfills the requirements <br />established in this section shall be designated as a Senior <br />Police Sergeant II and shall be paid at a rate set twenty- <br />five (25) salary rate ranges (approximately 12.5%) above his <br />or her then current base monthly salary step in the Police <br />Sergeant class. The criteria for such designation shall be <br />as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Completion of seven (7) years <br />experience and be eligible for <br />salary rate range of the Police <br /> <br />of municipal police <br />"E" step of the base <br />Sergeant class. <br /> <br />"Eligible" as defined only for Section 6.7 (A) means <br />that a Police Sergeant shall be considered for <br />advancement from Step "D" or "E" to Senior Police <br />Sergeant II upon the completion of the required length <br />of service as provided in Section 4.2 and Exhibit A of <br />this Agreement; the effective date of such increase <br />shall be on the first day of the month following <br />completion of such required length of service. <br /> <br />B. Completion (acquisition) of at least ninety (90) <br />educational and/or training units; or possession of an <br />Associate of Arts academic degree from an accredited <br />college with an additional thirty (30) or more <br />education or training units. <br /> <br />C. Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />6.8 Senior Police Sergeant III. Any officer holding the rank of <br />Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department, <br />regardless of duty assignment, who fulfills the requirements <br />established in this section shall be designated as a Senior <br /> <br />25 <br />
