RFP 05-051 <br />4.0 System Requirements: This section breaks the System into categories. The Proposer <br />must be able to fulfill the specifications defined within all listed categories. The Santa Ana <br />Police Department uses a Microsoft Windows 2000 system and runs a TCP/IP based network <br />over Cisco equipment. Due to the continuous advancements made in computer and digital <br />technology, the following criteria should be considered guidelines for technological <br />specifications. The Santa Ana Police Department Forensic Services Section requires the most <br />progressive hardware, software, and Digital Photographic, Video, and Audio Evidence <br />Management equipment currently available. Used or demonstration model equipment is not <br />acceptable. <br />4.1 Digital Evidence Capture Equipment: The Santa Ana Police Department Forensic <br />Services Section is currently a Canon based 35mm lab and as such, requires that specified <br />digital photography equipment be Canon, as to facilitate easy transition from film <br />cameras to digital.
