— Work Plan 2 -76 4,5 Lau dscape/Irrigatiou Plan (As- Needed, Optional): Should the City decide that a landscape /irrigation plan is necessary, our team will evaluate options available and develop cost estimates. 4.6 Permitting Requirements: The permits and environmental documentation required by the project will depend to some extent on the alternatives selected during the pre - design phase. M &E staff will assist the City with the preparation of permit applications as required; the level of assistance will be limited to the hours allocated to this effort in the final project budget. No environmental assessment work is included in this work plan. 4.7 Pre - Design Report: M &E will prepare a preliminary engineering design report that will discuss the structural, mechanical, electrical/control, and landscaping alternatives considered and the rationale for the selection of the preferred alternatives. The report will include schematic representations of the newly configured pump station components. Data from preliminary contacts with vendors will be appended to the report. Three copies of a draft report will be submitted to the City. Comments, revisions, and suggestions from the City will be incorporated into the report. Ten copies of the final report will be submitted to the City, along with two CDs containing the report in electronic format (Adobe "PDF" files; Word "Doc" files may also be included at City's request). 4.8 Preliminary Design Review Meeting: The Draft Prcli•,iinary Er, {neering Design Report will be presented to the City during this meeting. The selected structural, mechanical, electricallcontrols, and landscaping alternatives will be presented and the rationale for their selection discussed. Task 5. Engineering Design Objectives: Prepare construction drawings, specifications, bid items lists, and cost estimates for the pump station improvements identified in the pre - design report and approved by the City. 5.160% Submittal: Our consulting team will perform the necessary engineering calculations to size, configure, and locate new or modified system components. The preliminary engineering designs will go through a complete QA/QC process before final drafting is started. Construction/installation drawings for the pump station improvements will be prepared in Micro Station. The drawings will use City - provided title blocks and formats. Specifications will be prepared using City - provided standard specifications as the base (City to provide Word files of standard specifications). Cost estimates will be prepared using standard cost estimating forms that include units, quantities, unit costs, and total costs for each item. For the 60% submittal the City will be provided with: Five sets of full size (24 by 36 inches) drawings to include • Index and site layout o Structural improvements • Mechanical improvements • Electrical improvements • Site Grading/Paving, Landscaping Company Confidential • Trade Secret and Proprietor Information of Metcalf & Eddy, Inc.
