I� <br />�s�Proposal — Work Plan 2 -S♦ <br />One set of preliminary technical specifications (we prefer to keep all comments and <br />corrections /revisions on one single copy) covering mobilization, earthwork (if required), <br />structural work, pumps and drivers, electricaUcontrols work, and miscellaneous site <br />landscaping/paving work. The administrative sections of the specifications dealing with <br />payment to contractors, insurance requirements, and other contractual issues will not be <br />prepared by M &E. <br />• A list of bid items (paper and electronic copies). <br />• One paper copy and an electronic file of estimated construction costs. <br />5.2 95% Submittal: Revisions and corrections arising from the City's review of the plans and <br />specifications will be incorporated. For estimating purposes it is assumed that the basic premises <br />will be maintained; that is, no new equipment or repairs will be considered for the 95% <br />submittal, only changes to the equipment and repairs presented in the 65% submittal. The <br />administrative portions of the specifications can be added to the technical specifications prepared <br />by M &E, if the City provides the appropriate electronic files. The City will be provided a similar <br />package for review: 5 sets of drawings, one copy of specifications, a bid items list, and one copy <br />of cost estimate. Permits from regulatory agencies (if any are required) should be available by <br />the end of this task; M &E engineers will stay in contact with issuing agencies and make every <br />l effort to expedite the permits. <br />5.3 100% Submittal: Final revisions will be incorporated into drawings and specifications, and <br />any necessary changes made to construction cost estimates. The City will be provided: <br />• Fifteen (15) sets of drawings <br />• Fifteen (15) sets of specifications with bid items list <br />• One copy of construction costs estimate <br />• Two CDs containing drawings, specifications, bid items list, and cost estimate (PDF files) <br />Task 6 Bid Period Support <br />Objectives: Assist City with the advertisement of bids and the preparation of packages to <br />contractors. <br />6.1 Bid Preparation Assistance: M &E engineers will prepare a list of potential participants in <br />the bidding process and submit it to the City. M &E will also prepare packages containing <br />specifications and a set of reduced drawings on 11 by 17 inch paper, plus a form to be filled out <br />by contractors who receive the packages. M &E may, at the City's request, prepare the text for <br />incorporation of the bid information into the City's web page. Also at the City's request, M &E <br />can incorporate the bid information into the City's web page. The web page work is not included <br />7 as part of the base cost estimate for engineering services. <br />6.2 Bid Period Response to RFIs: M &E engineers will respond to questions on Plan and <br />Specifications during the Bid Period.
