Based on current 2002 traffic conditions and projected 2025 traffic conditions, update the <br />Fairview Street Widening Median Openings and Related Traffic Concerns, dated April 25, <br />1996 letter report. This report focuses on the potential traffic impacts of a raised median <br />island on Fairview Street at specific locations and the associated impact of diverted (re- <br />routed) traffic to key signalized intersections on Fairview Street. As part of this letter report, <br />an updated Signal Warrant Analysis will be prepared for Downie Place at Fairview Street. <br />Construction Cost Estimates - Traffic Items <br />10. Based on current 2002 unit costs, update the construction cost estimates for traffic items of <br />work associated with the Fairview Street Widening project and submit copies to the City of <br />Santa Ana and the Planning Center. <br />Parking Impact Analysis <br />11. Based on current 2002 conditions, update the Fairview Street Widening Parking Impact <br />Analysis, dated May 29, 1997 letter report. This report analyzed the parking impacts of the <br />three widening alternatives to commercial (non-residential) properties located on Fairview <br />Street. <br />Project Coordination <br />12. Coordinate with the Planning Center to ensure comments received from the City of Santa Ana <br />on revised documents are addressed. <br />Meeting Support <br />13. Prepare for and attend two (2) project coordination meetings with the City staff and/or The <br />Planning Center to discuss the findings and recommendations of the traffic analysis. For <br />budgeting purposes, it is assumed that the average length of the coordination meeting will be <br />three hours and will be attended by an Associate Principal. <br />FEE ESTIMATE <br />We estimate that our fee for the services outlined above will not exceed $8,250.00 without your <br />prior authorization. Our fees will be billed monthly on a time -and -reimbursable expense basis <br />according to the attached Fee Schedule. <br />The Traffic Impact Analysis report update (Tasks 1 — 8) is estimated to cost $4,500.00. The <br />updates to the three other support documents (Tasks 9 — 11) and project coordination (Task 12) <br />are estimated to cost $2,750.00. For Task 13, we request a budget of $1,000.00 for the two (2) <br />coordination meetings with the City staff and/or the Planning Center. <br />As we discussed, this proposal assumes that the City of Santa Ana will provide the traffic count <br />data necessary to update the traffic study to Year 2002 traffic conditions. <br />
