Santa Ana City Council
zo Civic Center Plaza Santa Ana, CA 9Z701
Dear Santa Ana Council Members,
Ayden Yepez

Santa ana CA, 9Z703
I'm writing this letter to express my concern over the homelessness issue in our
city, recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of homeless
individuals in our community and this has led to several issues that need to be
addressed
One major issue is the mess that is often left behind in public places and
unfortunately in private properties, as well, many residents' homes have been
trespassed multiple times and often had things stolen by these individuals. This not only
creates a sense of insecurity but also affects the overall quality of life in our
neighborhood. Every time I walk out of my home I have to see a huge mess that they
leave behind either it's their belongings, clothes all over the place, or their feces.
I understand that homelessness is a complex issue that requires quires a compassionate
and comprehensive approach. Therefore, I urge the city council to consider
implementing more effective solutions such as increasing funding for shelters,
providing mental health and addiction services, and creating job, training programs to
help individuals get back on their feet. Additionally, enhancing law enforcement efforts
to prevent trespassing and theft would also be beneficial in addressing the immediate
concerns of the residents
Thank you for your attention. I am confident that with the right measures, we an
work towards creating a safer and more supportive environment for everyone in our
city
