4. Update Menu screens should be available to facilitate access to less frequently used functions such as
CAD databases and reports.

Positron Response: IQ/CAD Complies

IQ/CAD is a windows based menu driven application. Access to less frequently used functions is
carried out via menus.

5.1.5 Call Taking Operations: The most important function of the CAD system is the efficient handling of
calls for service received from the public as well as those events initiated by field units. The following
sections describe the requirements for processing these events.

1. Initiating Events: The proposer shall describe the event initiation sequence in detail.

Positron Response: IQ/CAD Complies

The Calltaker position answers the initial 911 call and receives Automatic Number
Identification/Automatic Location Information (ANI/All) supplied by the phone company. With
IQ/CAD, the ANI/All is automatically provided in the CAD display, initiating incident processing.
Once location is verified, IQ/CAD automatically provides integrated map location, hazard and
premise information, standard operating procedures and other critical parameters to the Calltak~r
position. By providing this information, the Calltaker is able to ask targeted questions aimed at
more accurately defining the nature of the emergency.

The IQ/CAD Calltaker position includes a Web-enabled capability that can be extended to
anywhere within an Agency's internal network allowing for rapid and cost-effective deployment of
non-911 Calltaker capabilities. This powerful extension allows for calls-for-service to be entered
from locations other than the Communications Center. Events can easily be entered from remote
locations without complicated client setups or configurations.

Event Management

CHANGE ORDER #2 to Computer Aided Dispatch Purchase Agreement A-2004-229
EXHIBIT G-1 IQlCAD System Updated Response Criteria

~
