<br /> <br />Orange County 151 25-29 Regional AFH <br /> <br />20. Update the Affordable Housing Rental List (translated in multiple <br />languages) on the County website. <br />Annually <br />21. Inform community members of the existence of the Orange <br />County Fair Housing Council (FHCOC) and its oversight of fair <br />housing practices by posting on the County’s website and at the <br />Planning counter. <br />By December 2025 <br />22. The County shall work with local resource agencies to implement <br />an outreach program informing families within the County of <br />housing and services available for individuals with <br />developmental disabilities. <br />Annually <br />Amend the zoning code and other local ordinances to facilitate new <br />housing opportunities and increase housing mobility, including: <br /> <br />23. Allow emergency shelters without a Use Permit or other <br />discretionary permit in the commercial and industrial portions of <br />the Housing Opportunities Overlay Zone. <br />By October 2024 <br />24. Lack of private and public investment in specific neighborhoods. <br />Actions: Timeframe: <br />Increase accessible and affordable housing opportunities for persons <br />with disabilities through the following actions: <br /> <br />1. Review Definition of Single Housekeeping Unit. To promote <br />flexibility to accommodate residents with different living <br />conditions, the County will review and adopt revisions as <br />appropriate to its zoning code to provide greater flexibility in <br />consideration of accommodating a variety of household <br />situations for related and unrelated individuals living together. <br />By December 2026. <br />2. The County will review and revise its group home and zoning <br />ordinances as needed to ensure ongoing compliance with state <br />and federal fair housing laws.
