High cost of housing in high opportunity areas <br />2. Limited accessible housing opportunities for individuals with disabilities <br />3. High cost of housing repairs/rehabilitation <br />4. Displacement of residents due to economic factors <br />5. Lack of public investment in lower opportunity areas <br />Actions: Timeframe: <br />1. The City will seek to improve access to opportunity for <br />lower-income households and other protected classes <br />through the following actions: <br /> <br />a. Providing adequate sites for affordable housing <br />development <br />Update candidate sites list <br />annually <br />b. Reduce governmental constraints to encourage <br />the production of ADUs <br />Review ADU procedures <br />annually and revise as needed to <br />reduce cost and time and comply <br />with state law. <br />c. Facilitating the production of housing for <br />individuals with special needs by providing <br />technical assistance to developers proposing <br />affordable housing. <br />Ongoing <br />d. Work with federal, state, and local agencies to try <br />to identify and secure funding for homeowners <br />who are interested in building an ADU and are <br />willing to offer it as an affordable rental. <br />Annually <br />2.
