<br /> <br />Orange County 260 25-29 Regional AFH <br /> <br />Issue: Disproportionate Housing Needs <br />Housing cost burden is an issue for renters across Orange County, including in Rancho Santa <br />Margarita. <br />Contributing Factors: <br />1. Economic displacement <br />2. Environmental hazards such as wildland fires and the interface with urban areas <br />Actions: Timeframe: <br />1. Support local eviction prevention strategies <br />to reduce the number of homeless <br />individuals and families (homelessness <br />prevention services). <br />Annually <br />2. Update the City’s Local Hazard Mitigation <br />Plan by December 2024 to ensure <br />community resiliency from hazards. <br />By mid-2025 <br />3. Conduct outreach to landlords and support <br />OCHA’s mobility counseling program to <br />increase Housing Choice Vouchers in the <br />city. <br />Increase Housing Choice Vouchers through the <br />Orange County Housing Authority by 5% <br />between 2021-2029. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT 6
