Theft, vandalism, or damage to property of the College and the clinical facilities <br /> including the personal properties of fellow students, school personnel, clinical <br /> staff, and clients and their families <br /> 5. 0,T f.di , <br /> U ents and their families <br /> 6. Verbal abuse or intimidation including shouting, use of profanity, or display of <br /> hostility to fellow students, school personnel, clinical staff, and clients and <br /> families <br /> 7. Possession or under the influence of any substance known to alter the level o <br /> functioning <br /> 8. Possession of weapons or materials that can cause injury to others or post a ri,k to <br /> one's health <br /> 9. Creation of safety hazards to others <br /> 10 Sexually explicit, indecent, or obscene behavior while in the College, <br /> clinical facilities, or by any means of communication, including Internet. <br /> 11 Violation of any College policy <br /> 12 Violation of the College's computer regulations <br /> 13 Smoking in smoke-free areas <br /> 14 Using cell phones and other electronic devices during class and clinical times unless <br /> authorized by the instructor <br /> 15 Bringing children and pets {except guide dogs} to the College premises <br /> unless authorized by the instructor or program director. <br /> lb Gum chewing at clinical sites and in-classroom <br /> 17 Loss of a clinical site <br /> 18 Not following the directions of the instructor <br /> 19 Not leaving the campus clinical site when instructed to do so <br /> Disciplinary action may include grade nullification or dismissal from the College. An <br /> damag done to property shall be charged to the student. A student suspected of viola ing <br /> Code o Conduct is afforded due process before disciplinary action is imposed. Howe er, <br /> in appr priate circumstances, students may be sent home prior to a hearing. <br /> When A violation has occurred, an incident report, including all pertinent data related o <br /> the alleged act must be submitted in writing to the program director. This report show <br /> ld <br /> include description of the action and names of all parties involved including witnesse . <br /> Upon r ceipt of the report, the program director will determine if a policy has been <br /> violate . If there is sufficient information, the program director will contact the studet t <br /> and ini fate an investigation. The student will have the opportunity to provide any <br /> docum ntation to support or refute the report. <br /> Academic integrity <br /> Nursing is a profession of honor and integrity.
