Dismissal from the program may result if the appropriate channel of <br /> communication is not followed. <br /> 12, Failure to report abuse as stated in the agency's guidelines will result in the <br /> student's inability to protect the client, The student will be removed from the <br /> clinical setting and will be required to meet with the clinical instructor to <br /> le an <br /> i idcnt report documenting the incident and submit the report to the Program <br /> Director within 24 hours of the occurrence. <br /> Stude its may be dismissed from the CNA Program for the following behaviors: <br /> 1. Refusing to accept the client assignment. <br /> 2. Reporting to an unassigned clinical area/facility. <br /> 3. Abandoning and/or harming client(s). <br /> 4. Leaving the clinical site without instructor approval, <br /> 5. Refusing to provide primary care to client(s). <br /> 6. Refusing to follow instructions of instructor. <br /> 7. Engaging in verbal and physical argument with the staff and/or the instructor. <br /> 8. Reporting to the clinical facility or skills lab intoxicated/drugged —whether to ted or <br /> not. <br /> 9. Refusing to leave the clinical facility or skills lab after being directed by the <br /> instructor or the RN supervisor. <br /> 10 Unprofessional and/or unethical behavior. <br /> Grading <br /> Students must show minimum competency in both theory and clinical courses to b <br /> allowed to progress through the program.
