Conduct visual inspections of each <br /> station's emergency generator systems to assess general condition, <br /> visible deterioration, signs of leakage and corrosion. We will also <br /> document available nameplate data, including manufacturer, capacity <br /> (kW), fuel type, and installation date, if legible. No load testing or <br /> operational testing will be performed. <br /> • Electrical. Visual inspection of conditions of interior and exterior lighting <br /> and outlets. Electric metallic tubing (EMT) and other electric conduits will <br /> be visually observed for signs of corrosion or potential water infiltration at <br /> connections. <br /> • Roofs. Where accessible, roofs will be walked and inspected noting <br /> specific roofing system(s) used. Where inaccessible, BDC will use <br /> drone video to visually inspect roof conditions. Based upon these visual <br /> observations, BDC will identify problematic areas such as a) blistering, <br /> waving, deformities or signs of deterioration; b) roof penetrations at <br /> vents, flashing, and skylights; c) drainage and downspouts; d) sealant <br /> along flashing, reglets, vents and fasteners; e) conditions of parapets, <br /> and; f) areas where improved roof maintenance could improve <br /> performance and longevity. <br /> In addition, for each station BDC will use high-resolution aerial imagery <br /> and 3-D analytics tools provided by EagleView, Inc. providing detailed <br /> information as follows.: <br /> - Orthogonol (top-down) and oblique (side-angled) imagery; <br /> - Slope and pitch distribution inclusive of pitch diagram; <br /> - Total rakes, eaves, hips and ridges; <br /> - Facet count; <br /> - Total area (sq. ft. and total squares) <br /> From our field investigations and calculations provided by the analytic <br /> tools, BDC will confer with experienced licensed roofing contractors to <br /> conduct a peer-review our findings. Collectively, the above <br /> documentation will allow these contractors to readily provide costs on <br /> replacement and repairs, which will be included in our cost estimates. <br /> The cost of BDC's use of the above resources will be borne by BDC and <br /> are included within our proposed fee. <br /> • Drainage and Downspouts. Visual assessment of conditions of all <br /> drainage including drains, downspouts, gutters and scuppers on the roof <br /> as well as catch basins in driveways. <br /> 5 <br />
