:071: CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> 11. All striping, pavement markings, and signing shall be in place prior to signal turn- <br /> on and/or opening of street to public travel. <br /> C. Consultant shall be responsible for performing or scheduling necessary testing, as <br /> specified by the Caltrans Standard Specifications, of all equipment procured for project. <br /> 1. All performance testing relative to tasks performed on this project shall be <br /> performed by an inspector determined by the owning Agency of the equipment <br /> being delivered or installed. <br /> 2. Testing of any traffic controller assemblies or traffic controller units shall be done <br /> per the policy at the direction of the owning Agency. All costs involved with testing <br /> shall be borne by the consultant. <br /> D. Unless noted by owning Agency or City of Santa Ana, consultant shall be responsible for <br /> the configuration and integration of all devices implemented on project. <br /> E. Consultant shall provide Agencies with construction management support throughout the <br /> system construction stage of project. <br /> The Consultant shall provide professional construction management services, including <br /> inspection, quality control, Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule management, utility <br /> coordination, and administration services during construction. Work shall be performed in <br /> accordance with City of Santa Ana standards of practice. <br /> The Consultant shall respond to all requests for information (RFIs), review shop drawing <br /> and material submittals, plans, and any other Project related documents. The Consultant <br /> shall assist the City with reviewing and negotiating proposed Construction Change Orders. <br /> The Consultant is expected to support the Project Construction Contractor with system <br /> integration (including, but not limited to installing/implementing and integrating all <br /> hardware and software) during the construction phase of the project. The Consultant is <br /> expected to coordinate with the Construction Contractor for installing and/or integrating <br /> new traffic signal controllers and cabinets, communication hardware, communication <br /> equipment, ITS equipment, etc. <br /> During construction, each agency will provide construction inspection services for those <br /> components subject to agency inspection. However, overall construction management will <br /> be required of the Consultant. Construction management services include Pre- <br /> Construction meeting, <br /> Construction Phase: <br /> 1. Arrange and conduct Pre-Construction meeting, inviting the Project Manager, <br /> Inspector, public utilities, private entities, general contractor and other project <br /> stakeholders. Prepare minutes of Pre-Construction meeting for distribution to all <br /> attendees. <br /> 2. Provide and maintain sufficient field personnel to administer and manage <br /> construction. <br /> 14 <br />
