temporary disability compensation payable under the aforementioned Act, <br /> continue to be paid his or her normal salary and accrue other benefits in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Labor Code Section 4850. <br /> B. Any period of time during which an employee is required <br /> to be absent from his or her position by reason of an industrial injury <br /> or industrial illness for which he or she is entitled to receive <br /> compensation shall not be considered a break in continuous service for <br /> the purpose of his or her right to salary adjustment or to the accrual of <br /> vacation and seniority. <br /> ARTICLE XII - EMPLOYEE INSURANCE <br /> Section 1. During the term of this Agreement the City will <br /> contribute toward the payment of premiums for health, dental and <br /> long-term disability insurance plans administered by the Association for <br /> the benefit of the employee represented by the Association as follows: <br /> A. Health Insurance. <br /> 1. With respect to each affected employee who does not <br /> have dependents included under a health insurance plan, the City will <br /> continue to contribute one hundred seventy-five dollars and thirty-two <br /> cents ($175.32) per month. <br /> a. Effective October 1, 1990, the City will <br /> increase said contribution by seventeen dollars and ninety-four cents <br /> ($17.94) for a new total City contribution of $193.26 toward such <br /> employee-only health insurance coverage. The $17.94 increase represents <br /> 50% of the amount of the 1990-91 increase in the total monthly premium <br /> for the most expensive employee-only coverage among HMO plans provided by <br /> the City for its non-POA employees. <br /> b. Effective October 1, 1991, the City will <br /> increase its contribution for such employee-only coverage by an amount <br /> equal to 500 of the dollar increase in the City's premium for the most <br /> expensive employee-only coverage among HMO plans provided by the City for <br /> its non-POA employees. <br /> c. Effective October 1, 1992, the City will <br /> increase its contribution for such employee-only coverage by an amount <br /> equal to 500 of the dollar increase in the City's premium for the most <br /> expensive employee-only coverage among HMO plans provided by the City for <br /> its non-POA employees. <br /> 2. With respect to each affected employee who does have <br /> dependents included under a health insurance plan, the City will continue <br /> to contribute two hundred ninety-seven dollars ($297.00) per month. <br /> a. Effective October 1, 1990, the City will <br /> increase said contribution by forty-nine dollars and twenty-five cents <br /> ($49.25), for a new total City contribution of $346.25 toward such family <br /> -26- <br />
