ARTICLE V <br /> 5 . 0 ASSIGNMENT AND OTHER SPECIAL PAY ADDITIVES <br /> 5 . 1 Assignment Pay Differentials . <br /> A. An incumbent in the class of Police Services <br /> Dispatcher who is continuously and regularly <br /> assigned to and actually performing in a lead <br /> supervisory and trainer capacity over an assigned <br /> shift of Police Services Dispatchers will be paid <br /> at a rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges (5%) <br /> above his or her then current base monthly salary <br /> step. <br /> B . Personnel in the class of Forensic Specialist I, <br /> who are regularly and continuously assigned to and <br /> actually performing duties in a "lead supervisory" <br /> capacity over a primary functional unit of Forensic <br /> Specialist I employees, will be paid at a rate set <br /> ten (10) salary rate ranges (5 . 0%) above their then <br /> current base monthly salary step . <br /> C . An incumbent in the class of Police Officer who is <br /> continuously and regularly assigned to and actually <br /> performing duties of an Assistant Team Leader (ATL) <br /> (Corporal) will be paid at a rate set five (5) <br /> salary rate ranges (2 . 5%) above his or her then <br /> current base monthly salary step. <br /> D. The Police Chief at his discretion and based on the <br /> department' s need may assign sworn officers to <br /> standby status for Saturday and Sunday, holidays, <br /> or other days as determined by the Police Chief . <br /> Officers thus assigned will be compensated at the <br /> rate of two (2) hours of straight time per day of <br /> standby duty. <br /> 5 . 2 Shift Differential , Non-Sworn Personnel . Each employee in <br /> the classes of Animal Control Officer I, Animal Control <br /> Officer II , Forensic Specialist I , Forensic Specialist <br /> II , Police Communications Supervisor, Police Property & <br /> Evidence Specialist, Police Service Officer, Police <br /> Services Dispatcher, Communications Services Officer, <br /> Detention Officer, and Detention Supervisor who is <br /> continuously and regularly assigned to a schedule of work <br /> which requires that he or she actually work a minimum of <br /> four and one-half (4-1/2) hours between the hours of 5 : 00 <br /> P .M. and 7 : 00 A.M. will be paid a shift differential at <br /> a rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges (5 . 0%) above his <br /> or her then current base monthly salary step . <br /> 13 <br />
