The McGowan House, <br />86, qualifies for listing in the Santa Ana Register <br />Properties for its exemplification of the Colonial <br />.tectural style. Additionally, the farmhouse <br />fies as it was connected with a business or use, <br />which was once common and is now rare. The <br />atures noted in this structure include rectangular <br />s; hipped roof; doors adorned with classical <br />pediments; classical elements such as columns; and <br />shes with multiple lights. Additionally, the two- <br />e is eligible to be categorized as Landmark for its <br />ctural significance and for its historic/cultural <br />o the City as a farmhouse surviving from the <br />sra in Santa Ana. The unique architecture is <br />� its wide shiplap siding trimmed with corner <br />ed roof with boxed eaves; a one-story, hipped roof <br />t spans the lower story fagade; a recessed entry <br />unadorned pediment, with sidelights and fan <br />,7indows with a six -over -six double hung sash. <br />Based on the results of research, the structures listed below meet the <br />criteria to be placed in the Key category as contained in Section 30-2.2 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code.
