FREE RECORDING PURSUANT TO <br />GOVERNMENT CODE § 27383 <br />Resolution No. 2025-XX <br />Page 1 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XX <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />THE CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1804 NORTH GREENLEAF <br />STREET FOR HISTORIC EXTERIOR MODIFICATION <br />APPLICATION NO. 2025-03 (APN: 002-092-04) <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Jason Beith and Anais Beith (property owners and applicants) are <br />requesting approval of Historic Exterior Modification Application No. 2025- <br />03 to allow exterior modifications to the property at North Greenleaf Street. <br />B. The legal owners of the property Jason G. Beith and Anais Enriqueta Beith, <br />husband and wife as joint tenants with right of survivorship. <br />C. The property at 1804 North Greenleaf Street is a contributor to the Floral <br />National Register Historic District. The Floral Park National Register Historic <br />District is also listed in the California Register of Historical Resources. <br />Although the property is not listed on the Santa Ana Register of Historic <br />Properties, it is listed on the National Register and therefore meets the <br />definition of “historic property” specified in Santa Ana Municipal Code 30 - <br />1.5, which includes any property designated on the federal, state, or local <br />registers. Because the property is a designated historic property, the project <br />is subject to the requirements of Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 30.6, <br />specifically, that the proposed alteration are subject to Historic Resources <br />Commission Review. <br />D. The property at 1804 North Greenleaf street was constructed in 1929, with <br />the residence exhibiting elements of the English and French Revival styles <br />of architecture. Alterations to the residence include the replacement of two <br />historic windows on the south façade with vinyl sash and wood fixed -pane <br />units, respectively; construction of a second-story bathroom with a small <br />gabled roof form and two vinyl windows facing the south; addition of three <br />wood pergolas (two on the south façade and one on the north façade); and <br />construction of a wood rear deck on the west façade, in addition to changes <br />to the cladding, parapet, doors and pergola of the detached garage. <br />Character-defining features of 1804 North Greenleaf Street that should be <br />preserved stucco wall cladding; original multi-paned casement and single- <br />paned double-hung windows; original diamond-paned leaded color glass <br />    <br />Historic Resources Commission 235 9/23/2025 <br />
