ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ADDENDUM <br />Bristol Street and Memory Lane Intersection Improvements — Project No. 17-E883 <br />Certified 1990 FEISIEIR Mitigation Measures: <br />T-1 If potential archaeological resources are encountered during grading, all work will be halted in that <br />particular location until a qualified archaeologist can evaluate the significance of the recovered <br />materials. <br />Mitigation Measures: No additional mitigation measures are required. <br />b} Cause a suhstwtial adverse change In the significance of an archaeological resource pursuant to § <br />I5064.5? <br />Due to the limited area of disturbance, within an existing developed and urban area, and limited depth of proposed <br />excavations, the potential to uncover archaeological resources is considered low. The proposed Project would not <br />result in archaeological impacts greater than previously analyzed in the 1990 FE[S/ELR. <br />Certified 1990 FEISIEIR Mitigation Measures: Refer to 1990 FEISIEIR Mitigation Measures T-1. <br />Mitigation Measures: No additional mitigation measures are required. <br />0 Directly or ifadkeelly destroy a unique paleontological resource or site or unique geologLe feature? <br />As documented in Chapter VI, Resources Elemeig, of the County of Orange General Plan, the Project site is not <br />located in an area of paleontological sensitivity. Soils occurring in the Project area are San Emigdio,s Typically, <br />these deposits are less than 10,000 years old, and not likely to contain important fossils.9 No greater impacts to <br />paleontological resources than previously analyzed in the 1990 FEISIEIR would result from Project implementation. <br />Certified 1990 FEIS(E]IR Mitigation Measures: No 1990 FEISIEIR mitigation measures are applicable: <br />Mitigation Measures: No additional mitigation measures are required. <br />d) Disturb airy human remains, rnclu4ng those interred outside of dedleated cemeteries? <br />The Project site is located within a highly -urbanized area within the City of Santa Ana. Cathedral Memorial <br />Gardens is located approximately 2 miles north-west of the Project site. In the event that human remains are <br />uncovered during grading or excavation, contractors are required to comply with the procedures and requirements <br />set forth in the California Health and Safety Code Section 7050.5 and CPRC Section 2098.98. The County Coroner <br />and, in the event that the remains are Native American, the Native American Heritage Commission would be <br />notified and, in turn, would notify those persons believed to be most likely descended from the deceased for <br />appropriate disposition of the remains.
