SA 12-026 <br />Investigator: ANDREW ROSS Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 10/24/12 Date:10/24/12 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />GUILLEN’s statements were captured in the digital audio recording of the interview and <br />FULCHER’s supplemental report; those statements are not documented in this report. <br /> The following is a summary of GUILLEN’s statement related to his involvement with the <br />SAPD officers and how he sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh: <br />On October 22, 2012, between 1500 and 1900 hours, GUILLEN worked on installing a <br />stereo system in a friend’s vehicle. Once GUILLEN completed the installation, he called his <br />girlfriend, , and made arrangements to get together with her later that <br />evening. <br />At approximately 2000 hours, GUILLEN met with . GUILLEN spent the <br />remainder of the evening in company. <br />At some point during the evening, GUILLEN and found themselves walking <br />eastbound on West Myrtle Street from South Raitt Street, in the city of Santa Ana. GUILLEN <br />and walked to the area of the Santa Ana High School, which was located at the <br />east end of West Myrtle Street. The east end of West Myrtle Street terminated at the high <br />school campus athletic fields. <br />GUILLEN noted that there was a function taking place at the high school that evening. <br />GUILLEN believed the function may have been a football game, but he was not sure. GUILLEN <br />and stayed at the high school for approximately fifteen minutes, prior to walking <br />to the McDonalds restaurant, located somewhere on Main Street in Santa Ana. GUILLEN and <br /> entered the restaurant, ordered their food and then exited the restaurant. As <br />GUILLEN exited the restaurant, he felt a burning in his left thigh. GUILLEN immediately knew he <br />had been shot.
