SA 12-026 <br />Investigator: ANDREW ROSS Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 10/24/12 Date:10/24/12 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />GUILLEN and walked from the McDonalds restaurant to the area of Ross <br />Street and the Santa Ana High School campus, where he was picked up by an ambulance and <br />taken to Western Medical Center – Santa Ana. <br />GUILLEN denied using alcohol or narcotics that evening. GUILLEN denied involvement in <br />the robberies that took place in the area of the Santa Ana High School and denied being in <br />possession of a firearm that evening. GUILLEN initially denied being in the company of anyone <br />other than however, he later disclosed that he was also in the company of a friend <br />by the name of “ .” GUILLEN refused to provide any additional information regarding <br /> <br />GUILLEN’s statement was inconsistent during FULCHER’s questioning. When FULCHER <br />brought the inconsistencies to GUILLEN’s attention, GUILLEN was unable to clarify the reason <br />for the inconsistencies and was adamant that he was telling FULCHER the truth. <br />Once FULCHER had completed his questioning of GUILLEN, I asked GUILLEN questions <br />related to the officer involved shooting. The following is a summary of the statement GUILLEN <br />provided at that time: <br />GUILLEN and were walking eastbound on the south side of First Street, <br />west of Ross Street, in the city of Santa Ana. Prior to reaching Ross Street, GUILLEN and <br /> turned right and found themselves at the northeast entrance to the Santa Ana <br />High School facility. The northeast entrance to the high school is located at the intersection of <br />Walnut Street and Ross Street. GUILLEN and entered the high school and began <br />walking through the facility. GUILLAN and were using the high school as a shortcut <br />to get to the area of Flower Street and Bishop Street. As GUILLEN and walked <br />through the high school, a male subject ran westbound past them. GUILLEN described the
