Dawson Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 10/04/13 Date: 10/04/2013 <br />Page 28 of 51 <br />DAWSON: Describe to me the actions at the time that she was on the ground before <br />you fired the second rounds. <br />AYALA: As soon as she fell I just saw her reach for something with the left hand, <br />like toward the front of her. I said okay, she, she probably dropped the <br />gun, she fell, she must’ve dropped the gun, she’s gonna get it, she’s <br />gonna continue, she’s gonna get up, she’s gonna shoot at us. And uh, <br />we’re gonna have to deal with a threat on the east side of the alley and <br />another threat, a couple more threats on the west side of the alley. <br />DAWSON: When she falls to the ground, what position is she lying in? <br />AYALA: She’s uh, face down. <br />DAWSON: Prone out, do you know which her legs or feet or, or her legs, or hands <br />are facing? <br />AYALA: Ah, she was I mean, but like in a, her head might have been like in a <br />northeast direction. <br />DAWSON: Okay. <br />AYALA: And uh, yeah she was just facing down. <br />DAWSON: Okay. So when you fire the two rounds where is Off-, during this incident <br />that’s going on, where does Officer ESQUIVEL go, or where’s he’s at? <br />AYALA: He, when I look back, I just saw him standing behind the uh, dumpster.
