Correctional Supervisor Villegas concluded his briefing. A walkthrough of the jail where the incident occurred was <br />conducted. <br />At the conclusion of the walkthrough, Detective C. Shynn #3238 was assigned as the case agent. I was tasked with <br />responding to the St. Joseph Hospital with OCDA Investigator T. Hoang to interview hospital staff. <br />1635 hours: <br />I left the Santa Ana Detention Facility and responded to St. Joseph Hospital. <br />1706 hours: <br />I arrived at St. Joseph Hospital and met with Investigator Hoang. Investigator Hoang and I were tasked with <br />interviewing medical staff that provided medical aid to Washington. <br />1725 hours: <br />Investigator Hoang and I interviewed Dr. . Dr. is an Emergency Medical Physician at St. Joseph <br />Hospital. Dr. was the doctor that received Washington when he arrived at the hospital. Dr. described <br />the medical care she provided to Washington prior to him being pronounced deceased. For further details regarding <br />the interview with Dr. , refer to Investigator Hoang’s report. <br />1737 hours: <br /> Investigator Hoang and I interviewed Nurse      . Nurse   is a nurse assigned to the Emergency <br />Department at St. Joseph Hospital. Nurse was the primary nurse assigned to Washington when he arrived at the <br />hospital. Nurse described the medical care he provided to Washington prior to him being pronounced deceased. <br />For further details regarding the interview with Nurse , refer to Investigator Hoang ’s report. <br />1831 hours: <br />I left the hospital and returned to the Santa Ana Police Department. <br />Friday, January 17, 2025 – 0900 hours: <br />I attended the postmortem examination of Freddie Washington along with Orange County District Attorney’s Office <br />Investigator J. Hoover. I arrived at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department – Coroner’s Division located at 1071 W. <br />Santa Ana Boulevard in the City of Santa Ana. I entered observation room #2, which was adjacent to where the <br />postmortem examination would be performed.
