Mr. David Ream, City Manager <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />February 8, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1) CONTINUE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: The goal will be to assure ongoing <br />implementation of the projects currently managed by the Deputy City Manager. <br />Related activities may include: <br />a. Get familiar with ongoing projects and assigned staff and know the issues <br />b. Meet with project proponents <br />c. Develop implementation strategies <br />d. Coordinate with City administration and other departments <br />e. Attend necessary meetings <br />2) DEPARTMENT/STAFF MANAGEMENT: The goal will be to assure that staff <br />intertace both within the department and with other departments is productively <br />maintained, and that personnel issues, and staff and project management issues <br />are addressed. Activities may include: <br />a. Get familiar with department staff and related activities <br />b. Serve as a management resource to the Executive Management Team <br />c. Oversee and direct management of department staff <br />d. Advise and coordinate staff-level decision making and ongoing <br />administration activities <br />e. Cooordinate with other departments as necessary <br />f. Attend necessary meetings <br />3) ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT: The goal will be to assure that department <br />administrative activities are maintained. Activities may include: <br />a. Timely preparation and filing of required reporting documents and <br />administrative processing <br />b. Oversee preparation of agenda materials for various meetings of the City <br />Council, Redevelopment Agency, Redevelopment Commission, Planning <br />Commission and other boards and commissions as may be required. <br />c. Monitoring department budgets <br />FEES <br />Fees for services will be billed at the following rates. Other RSG staff will only be used <br />in the event that services required could more efficiently and cost-effectively be provided <br />by staff other than Ms. Rosenow.
