Comment: Prioritize the development and improvement of parks and other public <br />facilities as stated in the goals and objectives of the Implementation Plan. <br />Response: The potential for parks and other public facilities could be addressed in the <br />Agency's goals and objectives for the 2005 -2009 Implementation Plan. The following is <br />list of Agency assisted public improvements and activities anticipated for the near future: <br />Completed <br />• Phase I of street improvements on South Main Street. <br />• Fourth Street sidewalk and landscape improvements between Broadway and <br />Main Street as part of visual branding of Downtown. <br />Planned <br />• Continue South Main Street improvements including new sidewalks and street <br />trees. <br />8. Comment: A draft of the Report was received and reviewed; will Commission members <br />get to review the final version of the Report? <br />Response: The draft Report received by the Commission was approximately 99 <br />percent complete. There were three items that Agency staff had to verify, of which, the <br />verification was complete with no or very minimal changes to the text. Furthermore, at <br />the time of distribution, the Planning Commission had not taken action regarding their <br />report and recommendation on the proposed Amendments, which actually took place on <br />June 14, 2004 the day before the Commission meeting. The Planning Commission <br />found the proposed Amendments in conformance with the General Plan and <br />recommended Agency City Council adoption. Because the Agency Board approves and <br />adopts the Report to City Council, the Report remains a draft until approved.
