GREAT WESTERN RECLAMATION <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> POSITION/TITLE: Safety Manager <br /> REPORTS TO: Operations Manager <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • Manager the Division Safety Program. <br /> • Investigate accidents and property damage and write reports. <br /> • Manage the Driving Record Program for all Division personnel. <br /> • Review new drivers to provide training in proper and safe handling of equipment. <br /> • Keep all records relating to function, especially insurance transactions. <br /> • Plan programs to ensure the highest level of employee safety awareness. <br /> • Manage Safety Incentive Program. <br /> • Work with federal, state and local law enforcement regulatory agencies to assure <br /> compliance with all Corporate safety goals. <br /> • Conduct on-site audits and inspections of vehicles, equipment and facilities. <br /> • Make reports as needed. <br /> • Work with insurance companies. <br /> • Check VCR's <br /> WORK EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> • High School diploma highly desirable. <br /> • Valid California driver's license. <br /> • Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a safety program as a member of the staff or <br /> manager. <br /> • Ability to work well with all levels of employee. <br /> • Ability to write reports and make verbal presentations. <br /> • Ability to instruct others. <br /> • Educational experience beyond High School highly desirable. <br />
