SANTA ANA MRF <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> POSITION/TITLE: Driver (Recycle) <br /> REPORTS TO: Route Supervisor <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • Operate curbside equipment in an efficient and safe manner. <br /> • Perform manual tasks in a safe manner. <br /> • Have an excellent knowledge of area's roads and highways. <br /> • Dispose of waste products at specified locations in an efficient and safe manner. <br /> • Perform pre-route inspection to ensure equipment is mechanically sound and safe. <br /> • Complete reports as needed. <br /> • Submit accident forms as necessary. <br /> • Interact with customers as needed in a cooperative manner. <br /> • Report all equipment and mechanical problems to proper personnel. <br /> • Perform other work as assigned according to Waste Management policies. <br /> • Maintain route books on a daily basis. <br /> • Attend safety meetings. <br /> • Responsible for retrieving missed pick-ups. <br /> WORK EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> • High School diploma highly desirable. <br /> • Valid Class B California Driver's License or the ability to obtain one. <br /> • Good driving record (if currently in possession of a valid driver's license). <br /> • Good physical condition and the ability to pass a physical examination and drug <br /> test. <br /> • Ability to lift 60/70 lbs. and move containers weighing several hundred pounds. <br />
